 LEIPZIG / HALLE (LEJ)

The airport Leipzig/Halle (LEJ) is located between Leipzig and Halle at the Schkeuditzer Autobahnkreuz and the railway line between both cities. Two paralel runways are extreme far away from the terminal, so long taxi-times are necessary. DHL Express is operating a hub at LEJ, but the traffic for DHL is operating mostly during nighttime. LEJ is connected by few scheduled services and is linked to some charter destinations. The freight services and the military charter of the US Army, which usually make a fuelstop at LEJ on their route between Afghanistan or Iraq and USA are more interesting. Normally 3-5 US-charter-planes a day should be seen there.
