Approach

Take the motorway M56 > Exit the motorway exit, signed A538 to Wilmslow and Hale > Follow signs for Aviation View Park / Concorde exhibition > At the Romper public house turn right again and follow road for 800m until you turn right into view park. There is a charge for admittance of £3 per car and drive plus £1 per additional occupant.
Advantages:

Shop, snack and toilet facilities in short range. Good overview over all events going on at Manchester Airport. Especially good for registration takers

Approach

To get to the south side take the motorway M56 out of the airport and follow signs for Chester > Exit the motorway at next exit, signed A538 to Wilmslow and Hale > At the next junction turn right following the signs for Wilmslow and Alderley Edge > After going through 2 tunnels (both runways) turn next left and park the car away from the parking restrictions > Go through gate signed public footpath and follow path until you come to the perimeter fence. 
Advantages:

The banking is raised here so you can photograph over the fence. This spot though is only good up to midday, as this runway is closed from 12 noon until 3 pm, and the sun comes around to your left side.

Approach

This location is reached by turning right out of airport along Ringway Road keeping T3 on your right side. To continue to the Tatton Arms carry on to the right for about 1k until you reach the pub, which is on the left hand side.
Advantages:

This location is ideal for landing shots as the aircraft are less than 100m high. Whilst beeing there it maybe worth while looking into the Airport public house, which has a very large beer garden overlooking the threshold.

This location is located on the top park deck of the parking garage belonging to the terminal 1 complex
Advantages:

This location is good for all traffic docking at terminal 2;
